PVC Tennis Court Rules

The PVC Clay Courts - These are our 'Roland Garros on the Hudson Courts', named for the famous red clay courts of Paris Open! Our beautiful red clay courts require love and care. Twice monthly the courts are professionally maintained by Oval Tennis. We also rely on our watering crew of volunteers, to keep the courts in great playing condition.

Some housekeeping notes for the clay courts:

  • School and CHCTA events have priority usage of courts.

  • The courts are locked, the code is 400 (think 40 love). Please lock the gate when you leave.

  • Play is on a first come first serve basis. Two players must be at the court to hold the court.

  • If there are people waiting, limit play to 1 hour.

  • You must sweep the courts and clean the lines after you play.

  • Tennis shoes only on the courts.

  • If we have a heavy rainstorm, and the courts are soaked, please don't use them, give the courts time to dry out.

  • Our volunteer watering crew generally arrives before sundown. We rely on their help, so please allow them on court to water. If you'd like to join the watering crew, let us know.
